yesterday I got back from Paris. My favorite part was seeing the Eiffel Tower (there is 1,652 steps). We took the elevator. We also saw king Louis the 14th castle, called Versailles. We took a really fast train to go to Paris, it goes underneath the water (the English Channel)! I liked playing card games with the college students on the train. We also got to eat cotton candy.

Hey Emeline, the Eiffel Tower always leans away from the sun because heat makes the metal expand. Isn't that a cool fact?
ReplyDeleteThe Tower of London is currently the home of the British Crown Jewels which you probably already know but it has also been a zoo, an observatory, a mint and a prison. They also used to house lions in the Tower of London.
Big Ben once lost time when a group of birds used the minute hand as a perch.
Leonardo da Vinci spent 12 years painting the Mona Lisa's lips.
He could also write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time.

It's so neat looking at pics of paris! The furthest I've ever been from home is Florida (I'm from tennessee). It looks like a lot of fun though!!
